About Gina Guthrie Designer Jewelry
Gina Guthrie started her jewelry business in 1998 by participating in local craft shows, and festivals and by selling to friends, family and employees at office buildings. In the beginning, her line of original designs consisted of about 10 styles of pendants and earrings. But based on the compliments and excitement of her customers, many of whom are loyal customers today, she quickly increased her line and continued to generate enthusiasm for her unique style.
Since then, she has developed an extensive line of pendants, earrings, bracelets and rings with a stunning selection of semiprecious stones.
In the process, she has become a self-taught expert on many different stones. An annual buying trip to Tucson, AZ, for the world-famous gem and jewelry show there furthers her education as she searches for those uncommon and beautiful stones from far-away places -- stones you won't find in the department stores.
She continues to experiment with non-conformist, non-traditional designs, and as she describes it "doing the unexpected" with her designs. In fact, she often has to turn a pendant around after an interested shopper has set it down in what looks like the "right" way. "I like details that make the design just that much different from most other jewelry." Check out her "signature styles" to see what she means.
Because she can sit for hours drawing new designs, Gina has folders full of designs that have yet to be produced. For now, she'll continue to produce a few new ones at a time and steadily build her line.
